Trip to Kharkov, Ukraine
These are 6 pages of notes that I wrote after visiting Kharkov in Ukraine.
The three first images/notes contain first impressions, mistaken impressions and notes, gps-location and a map from a bus trip into the war zone. They were written immediately after returning to Berlin.

The three last images/notes are taken without having the intention of creating a summary, but notes written as a journal with time stamps.
First impressions. "My presumption, based off of www.vg.no, www.db.no, www.cnn.com, www.aljazeera.com and maps of territory/war was that a bomb could go off at any moment, Russian or Belarussian forces could kill me or that the Ukranian military could imprison me for spying."
Notes about my travel into Ukraine from Poland.

In September 2023 I travelled the same countries except for Poland, Switzerland and Ukraine. During this travel I observed and took note of the borders between countries and also what I percieve to be unofficial borders between areas.
I got fooled twice, almost thrice, in Ukraine by how they've set up their infrastructure and architecture and by the local population.

Early morning 08.05.24 Kyiv Independent reported on a massive attack on Ukraine, missiles reaching as far as Lviv. I was in Lviv and observed no attacks.
Mainly notes and drawings from Kharkov and my meeting with military personelle.
Also noted down how they hide the bus station from the Metro exits, observations in the sky at night and the main names I saw - Warren Buffet, The Rock, Starlink (Elon Musk), Hilton Hotels, Bruce Willis and Carnegie.
Written 14.05.24 on the train from Kyev to Lviv and then continued 15.05.24 later in the day after having visited Hilton hotels.
There was increased security in the town and quite a few police cars and personelle at intersections.

The focus on this note was on the commercial items, like chocolate, cigarettes and alcohol.
Written 15.05.24 17:30 and 19:30 on a Flexibus from Lviv to Berlin.

The notes written at 17:30 is about a mosque and a church I visited and also about, what I believe, is work done by the logistical department of the military. More specifically military engineers who structure things, for example "nebb" as I call it and which I saw abundantly in Poland relative to any other country I've been in.

There's also notes from the trip to Tsyrkuny, outside of Kharkov.
